Our last Do Something Different (for now):
Random Word Day - Choose a word at random from a dictionary or book. Use it when solving problems, formulating ideas, having conversations or trying to think outside the box today. It’s your creativity tool for the day.
Our Do Something Different for Wednesday:
Right Brain Day - Listen to your gut feeling today. Does something or someone in your life give you that nagging feeling that’s just not right? Trust your instincts (based in the right, intuitive side of the brain) and do something about it.
Our Do Something Different for Tuesday:
Cheer Up Day - Think of three funny things that happened to you lately. Share them with others or just make yourself laugh.
And tell us about them!
Our Do Something Different for the weekend: Random...
Make a generous but anonymous act of kindness over the weekend. Post a chocolate bar through someone’s letterbox, pre-feed a vending machine or parking meter, leave a book on the bus or train or leave some money on the park bench. Experience giving without expecting to receive.
Our Do Something Different for Friday: Get Ahead...
Make your next hair / dental / car / optician / MOT / chiropody appointment. Get them in your diary so they won’t get missed. Then write out cards for the next 3 birthdays coming up.

Our Do Something Different for Wednesday: No Hard...

Our Do Something Different for Tuesday: Real Talk...
Replace email with face-to-face whenever you can today. Get up to talk to someone at work instead of emailing them. if they’re a long way away, pick up the phone and rekindle to art of conversation.

Find time for fun over the weekend. Organise a fun event for work or family / friends. Arrange an outing / a party / a tournament, an evening of games or a quiz. Drop being dutiful and put fun first for a change.
Our Do Something Different for Friday: Let Me Help...
Make someone else’s job easier today. Be proactive with a busy colleague, client or supplier, offer a hand to an elderly person or clear up after yourself instead of leaving it to someone else.
Our Do Something Different for Thursday: Let's...
Take action over something you’ve been worrying about. A mounting debt, a health concern or an unresolved dispute - do just one thing today (e.g. pick up the phone, fill in that form) to get you on the road to resolution.
Our Do Something Different for Wednesday: Shop...
Search out your local shops and services. Remember, small independent butchers, bakers, greengrocers, newsagents rely on local support - try giving the supermarkets a miss.
Our Do Something Different for Tuesday: Tourist...
Be a ‘tourist’ on your usual journey today. Pay attention to the architecture, the amenities, the seafront, the parks and the landscape around you. Spot places of interest that you’d normally overlook. Take a photo and share it - ideally in the comments right here!
Our Do Something Different for the Weekend is:...
Take some time out this weekend to fill a bag with all the things that can go to the charity shop/recycling centre. Drop them off there or give them to someone in need. Feel your mood lift as you unburden yourself of stuff.
Our Do Something Different for Friday: Have Some...
Share some food with someone today. Take something to work which you can share with others. Or sit in the park and share with the birds.
Our Do Something Different for Thursday: Sink or...
Been putting off making a decision on something? Do it today. Remember it’s better to act than do nothing. Don’t let worrying about the consequences get in the way.
Tell us how you got along.

At some point this weekend watch the sun rise (5:00am) or set. (8:55pm). Get up early and watch the sky come alive. Or sit in a special place to watch the sun go down or the stars come out. Take a photograph, record the event and send it to us!

Our Do Something Different for Wednesday:
Spruce Up Day - Free up your image. Wear something that goes against the grain. Break free from your wardrobe rut. If you’re a jeans/trouser wearer, swish around in a skirt. Bit of a scruff bag? Wear a collar and maybe even a tie.

Monday is a day off, and we’ll be announcing tomorrow’s DSD later on today
DSD: Something different for the weekend sir?
Feel the Pinch Day: Go without any money on Saturday or Sunday. You could make sure the car has petrol and take some food, but then see what you can get for nothing. Free entry to museums, music downloads, discarded newspapers, tasting samples…. Don’t spend a penny!
Our Do Something Different for tomorrow: Break...
Swap a job/chore with your partner, friend or colleague. Do something they do and see how it feels.
This one could get interesting!
Operation get to work
Have started cycling, jogging and walking to work rather than driving and have discovered lots of great routes and a firmer bottom in the process. Hove park and the sexy houses on The Droveway being the highlights of today’s new route. Calming sea views was yesterday’s. Who knows what tomorrow will bring!

Some of us are sitting at different desks all day and some of us have been sitting where our kids would
Our Do Something Different for tomorrow: Shift...
Don’t sit anywhere you’d normally sit. Whether it’s at the dining table, at work, watching TV or in a meeting. See the world from a different place.
